I have a lot of DDLC OC's and lots of ideas I'm doing for a DDLC fanfic series and fan game mod. My fan project is titled Re:Literature Club! The Doki Doki Virus (abbreviated as ReLC!TDDV) and I'm expanding the DDLC universe beyond what is canon in my project. My fanfic series/fan mod takes place directly after the Special Ending of Act IV of the main game (with Sayori as Club President) and as a continuation to Act IV's timeline.
A theory I'm doing in my project is "What if other club worlds/digital dimensions exist other than the Literature Club's digital world with their respective Club Presidents acting as a Game Master or administrator to their respective worlds?" So I have many OC's and ideas that I wonder: Should I make a separate Wiki based on my project or is this Wiki acceptable? (some of my OC's arguably break an OC policy or two, though) I'm doing a lot of things in my project that no other game modder has thought of or done yet (at least to my knowledge).
Actually, I think I'll make a separate wiki (or use a blogger for posting info) but I'll at least mention my fanfic here once I start posting chapters on DeviantART.
I do have family member OC's for Natsuki and Yuri in my fan fiction (if you want to count Natsuki's dad as an OC), which would break Rule #1 of OC's. And some of my characters, especially the main antagonists of my fanfic, are pretty overpowered (well, they are better "computer programmers" than Monika) so I wonder if that would break OC Policy Rule #2, but I would argue "no" since digital abilities and magical abilities are two opposite things, but digital abilities would appear as magic if the characters wouldn't know that they live in a digital world (although, all characters in my fanfics eventually learns about that).
While the first half of my project will be a standard romance visual novel mod for DDLC (and I'm writing my fanfic version in form of a scripted fanfic), the second half of my project will be an action-packed Horror/Sci-Fi RPG made in RPG Maker MV as a second game hidden within the mod files (in my fanfic version, that starts in Chapter 8 and this is kind of difficult to write in fanfiction form. I'm doing some crazy stuff here, lol.
While DDLC is a prequel to my fanfic, I also plan on having other prequel fanfics and/or fan games based on other clubs mentioned in my ReLC!TDDV project including:
Doki Doki Debate Club! Festival Preparation - Taking place after Monika leaves the Debate Club, but this will be a boring project to write. Playing as an unnamed girl that replaces Monika's position in the Drama Club.
Doki Doki -disBelief- Torture Club! - Taking place in a religious club called Belief Club, turning it into a Torture Club. Will be extremely bloody and gory if I do this, so, if I do it, anyone under 18 should not play or read.
The Mystery in the Drama Club - Taking place in a Drama Club as a survival/mystery/horror adventure novel in RPG Maker MV.
The Drama Club's Doki Doki CyberForce - Taking place directly after The Mystery in the Drama Club, it will be a digital/cyber-themed tokusatsu-styled RPG in RPG Maker MV. Taking inspiration from Power Rangers/Super Sentai (the obvious), Mega Man (especially the X series, Battle Network series, and ZX series), Code Lyoko, Digimon (especially Digimon Frontier), Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. The surviving Drama Club members receive a CyberForce DigiChanger that can turn them into Dokirangers with digital armor and weaponry to fight against the traitor of the Drama Club. For the second part of my Re:Literature Club! The Doki Doki Virus fanfic (starting in Chapter 8), I'm bringing that idea over so that the Literature main characters can fight and protect themselves from a threat that invades the Literature Club's world.
Since the DDLC world is basically a digital world where anything can happen as long as it's possible to code in, it technically doesn't break the rules of "no magical abilities", right?
My Re:Literature Club! The Doki Doki Virus fanfic also mentions other club games (in Chapter 4, when Monika discovers things she didn't know about their world...in my story) but I'll leave those as fictional games. As for the four above, it'll take a long time to do all of those so I wonder if I should leave them fictional or attempt them.
Right now, I'm writing Chapter 8b (second part of Chapter 8 since DeviantART has a character limit for journals) of my fanfic. It's been really slow since I'm trying to figure out ways to fit all of my ideas into my fanfic as much as possible and this is the hardest chapter to write so far and will probably be my largest chapter.
Once I get to my mod version, I'm hoping I could find character artists and background artists and boy is there going to be a lot of characters to be drawn and a lot of poses/expressions (and some bloody ones too). I can fairy draw (mostly relying on character bases or custom dolls I pose in DesignDoll) but not at Satchley's level and I can't hire people for money since I lack money.
Anyway, what do you think about my ideas as a fan sequel to DDLC, if you looked around my Sta.sh. I rarely talk to people about the DDLC fan project I'm working on so, your one of the lucky ones. But I really shouldn't say too much and I do have a habit of spoiling my work.
In a nutshell, the main part of my project is like Digimon, Power Rangers/Super Sentai, Mega Man...
As for the world itself on how it came to be and the backstory of my fanfiction, all of that is mentioned in Chapter 7d of my fan fiction. My OC Koji (who was sealed/locked away by his evil cousin) explains everything but I might still refine that chapter.
Yeah, I was going to suggest the same. And thanks. :)
Once I get to the mod version of my project, I would love to have volunteers helping me. I especially need character artists and backgrounds artists and ones who would dedicate doing so much work with little payment (the only thing I could do to reward my participants are giving them free copies of my music and any other future projects).
I seen your Rose character on your profile picture and you could be a character artist if you can dedicate your time drawing hundreds of characters, poses, expressions and if you are not afraid of drawing bloody characters (since my fanfic does get gory, starting in Chapter 7...well, Chapter 6, but mostly Chapter 7 and onward). I don't think you would want to waste your life doing that unless if you want to.
I can do the story writing (well, I am the author, but maybe I could take some story suggestions), concept character designs (I'll be drawing all my characters but I'm hoping to find someone that can refine them up to Satchely's level and style), the music (I already arranged/composed two songs even though I haven't gone far in my mod version yet), and the gameplay in Part 2 (but could use help in that).
Oh, and there are some scenes that I would love to be 3D animated, like my CyberForce Dokiranger transformations (spoilers).
Likewise, for the time being, I sprite generated most of my OCs through in an "Anime Character Creator" (I used CharacterManaJ and sprite assets from here). Some characters resemble how I facially depicted while others, not so much due to the limitation of available sprites I had. That's how Dan Salvato did his characters until he found an artist to do his characters, as shown in the DDLC Concept Art Booklet of the DDLC Fan Pack DLC.
Well, I'm still on my own for the scripted fanfic part and it's still too early for me to ask for help. Once I create a Wiki dedicated to my fan project (after I'm done writing my scripted fanfic), having additional Wiki Editors would be nice.
But if you have any ideas you want me to add to my story or make some fixes (if you read my fanfic), feedback would be nice. While I have thoroughly re-read and fix my first two chapters, I still have yet to change the expression/pose names from Chapter 3a to 6c as I haven't made my Expression Guide until mid-Chapter 6 (and my guide is pretty sloppy since I keep adding new expressions, especially for Chapters 7 & 8... It's going to be a pain-in-the-butt drawing all these poses/expressions).
Thanks. :) It might still be a long time until I need help but anything even little could do.
Oh, I also have a Discord server dedicated to my project. Other than a few bots (one of them dead, the other is custom built by me for testing, and one active one for temporarily general use until I replace it with something for fitting to the theme of my project), I don't have any other members but that's because I'm still keeping my project a secret until I'm ready but if you feel like doing something there, I could invite you if you want (I'm linking a 1-use invite) (that is if you have a Discord account) and I'll be able to communicate with you in secret (since our conversation here can be seen by other people and that would make me uncomfortable if I don't finish my project since I don't want to risk my ideas being stolen).
Are we aloud to reference characters? So like,I’m giving Mizono a redesign, and it looks a lot like Celestia Ludenberg,so,am a i aloud to reference the similarities between the two in my appearance for Mizono?
